SPOILER: Orphan Black follows outsider, orphan and street-wise chameleon Sarah. After witnessing a woman's suicide, Sarah assumes the stranger's identity - who happens to look just like her. Expecting to solve all her problems by cleaning out the dead woman's savings, Sarah is instead thrust headlong into a kaleidoscopic mystery as she realizes the dizzying truth - she and the dead woman are clones. As Sarah searches for answers, she discovers the chilling fact that there are more people like her out there - genetically identical individuals who were planted in unsuspecting birth parents and nurtured in completely different circumstances. With no idea who created the clones, she'll need to discover the reason in a hurry as an assassin is killing them one by one. A streetwise hustler is pulled into a compelling conspiracy after witnessing the suicide of a girl who looks just like her. Certainly don't agree with the rest of the pack or sheep perhaps or the 20/30 somethings or teenagers that must have written on here - surely to God?

Yes.. its syfi but incredibly naive, primitive, trying to be American in some awful way with dreadful ham acting (just about got the right lines out) though very BBC. Just come off some fantastic Scandinavian drama so have been spoilt silly. BBC can do it - North and South for example.

This was recommended to us as yes I like syfi a lot but certainly not this syfi. You have to be kidding. Couldn't be worse if it tried and yet it has run for a staggering five seasons since 2013!.

The intro - the totally flippant, facetious way she took on that persons life - summed it up really. Absolutely not one iota for humanity. So not even humorous unless you are sick. Red Dwarf was humorous. There are endless examples of humorous Syfi.

Just goes to show people have dumbed down their viewing habits. Yet its so BBC now. Every drama appears to be for the 20 and thirty somethings. No family at all. This model is alien, doesn't exist for the BBC - yet very politically correct now. It has every type of maladjusted human being on the planet. Yet also falls between every different type of stool in the tv market.

Wow no wonder I avoid the BBC. These days the BBC couldn't copy a good foreign example of any excellent television drama no matter how hard it tried. Just one example was Wallander. Just watched this drama twice over. Stargate SG1 was also immaculate syfi.

Just shows the sad state of tv, film drama in the UK these days. Good luck with it! "Orphan Black" is a highly underrated series starring the woefully underrated Tatiana Maslany. What is the story there? This woman's name should be shouted from housetops. She should be heralded as the next Meryl Streep.

Like others on this board, I don't want to say too much and give the story away. In order to see what makes Maslany so amazing, you need to watch the show.

The story is full of twists and turns. In the beginning, we see a young woman, Sarah (Maslany) witness the suicide of a woman on the subway tracks. A fast thinker who lives on the edge, Sarah grabs her purse and her identity. It goes from there.

The series is peppered with interesting characters, including Jordan Gavaris as Sarah's gay hustler brother; Maria Doyle Kennedy as Mrs. S, Matt Frewer as Dr. Leeke, and many others. I'll just name the characters - they're all marvelous: Cosima, Alison, Rachel, Helena, Tony, etc.

Don't miss this, and don't ask me why everybody's not talking about it.
Mrs. S: "You know, undocumented, outside the system."

It can also refer to the fact that the clone project to which all of them belong to is considered an 'orphan'. Leekie explained in Season 2 that the research, files and documentation that held all of the genetic history of the clones was lost during a fire. Hence, the project became an Orphan (a product without the steps that it took to be built).

(Quote)

Leekie: Twenty years ago, there was a fire in one of our labs. Several scientists died, reams of data lost, and the original genome was destroyed.

Cosima: So all of this secrecy around the original genome is because it doesn't exist?

Leekie: Yes. The entire project is essentially an orphan. We lost your prehistory, Cosima, and, with it, all record of several synthetic sequences embedded in your DNA. Most of the Project Leda clones, such as Sarah, Alison, and Helena, are heterosexual. But Cosima is gay. Some fans are confused by this since all the clones share identical DNA. However, sexual orientation is not determined by simple genetics. This can be seen in the fact that identical twins, who share the exact same DNA, do not necessarily have the same sexual orientation. Instead, sexuality seems to be the result of complex "epigenetics" where certain genes are "switched" on or off during fetal development. While all the sisters share DNA, they were carried by different mothers and so would show subtle deviations. a5c7b9f00b Download the Triple 9 full movie tamil dubbed in torrentDsl download movie freeThe Man from Down Under full movie in hindi free download hd 1080pStand Your Ground full movie with english subtitles online downloadRupan sansei: Dead or Alive full movie 720p downloadBody Count: Talk Shit, Get Shot full movie in hindi free download hd 1080pMax Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne in hindi free downloadCowboy Smoke movie free download hdTransformers: Zone tamil dubbed movie downloadBad Boys II movie download hd
