When a twenty-something computer geek inadvertently downloads critical government secrets into his brain, the C.I.A. and the N.S.A. assign two agents to protect him and exploit such knowledge, turning his life upside down. Since geeky Chuck accidentally became the mental host of the Intersect, an unprecedentedly powerful computer mind containing all information available to the US government, he's a primordial national security asset and risk. So CIA and NSA each appoint a top agent to guard Chuck, and often get involved with him in spy adventures. Meanwhile his identity must be kept secret from Chuck's sister, her perfect partner Devon, both surgeons, and Chuck's goofy colleagues in Buy More, the Burbank electronics store where he works as a cover. Chuck is the best show on the face of the planet… I think it's the perfect blend between romance, action, comedy, and drama, and maybe even a little bit thriller. It's pretty much all the genres, and it would be a shame if it got canceled, because its just so awesome. I also love the cast, and enjoy the chuck/sarah story and how their relationship changes over the season. I think that both Zach and Yvonne are very, VERY hot (not in a lesbian way!) and I hope this show stays on air for us (the fans) to at least get some closure to what happens in the rumored cliffhanger this season, and I really hope that the "person we love" that is going to have "something bad happen to them" isn't any member of operation Bartowski (especiallty not Sarah, because we know its not Chuck). I hope we get a s5!! I watched my first episode of Chuck a week ago. The advertisement I viewed when I was watching online episodes of Heroes finally drew me in.<br/><br/>Let me state that I read through a number of comments giving this show horrible reviews and wondered whether the reviewers actually watched it. There must be some school for angry would-be actors, directors, and movie critics that requires one hates everything one watches.<br/><br/>Does Chuck require you suspend some disbelief? Yes. Is Chuck a major awards threat? No (although I think it should be). Is it the most fun I've had watching TV? Yes! Chuck is a breath of fresh air in a crowded field of mediocre TV and movies. It is as if the creators reached inside my brain to find all the elements that would have me both care about every character and have at least two belly laughs per episode.<br/><br/>Let's start with the basic idea. Chuck works as a member of the "Nerd Herd" at a "Buy More." This is a spoof of Best Buy and its Geek Squad. Having worked at a Best Buy myself for a little over a year, I find their depiction of that culture an absolute riot. While sometimes a bit over the top, the Buy More is populated with employees who closely resemble people I actually worked with.<br/><br/>The set up: Chuck has the contents of an NSA/CIA supercomputer downloaded visually into his brain via an email from his old college roommate. It isn't long before the NSA and CIA figure out that his brain is the only place to find tons of government secrets and data. The agencies begin to protect him and send him on missions to utilize the information in his head. I know a lot about computers and networking; while this whole premise requires suspension of disbelief, what doesn't? Sit back and enjoy the ride. Zach Levi and Yvonne Strahovski have great chemistry, and I am constantly pulling for them as a potential couple. Adam Baldwin is great as the wry assassin with a heart of gold. I want to have lunch with every other character as well, including Chuck's sister Ellie and her boyfriend Devin (aka Capt. Awesome).<br/><br/>As a normal guy who was pretty shy and borderline nerdy in high school, I relate to these characters, and I absolutely love every pop culture or fanboy reference. Allusions to Star Wars, Dune, Lost, and many others abound.<br/><br/>If you are male and have any heart conditions, be advised that one episode may induce a stroke or heart attack. I nearly choked to death on a pizza slice when seeing Yvonne Strahovski dressed as slave girl Princess Leia.
